Greg Tango is a New York City-based director of photography. After graduating Emerson College with a BA in Cinematography and Photography, he went headfirst into in the NYC freelance filmmaking scene, eventually working his way up the G&E department ladder to gaffer. He used the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business before transitioning to his true ambition, DoP. With a strong understanding of lighting, an an emphasis on the idea that "pretty images are important, but storytelling is key”, Greg applies a unique and stylized voice to his every project. His work includes narrative, commercial, music video and documentary. When not on set Greg can be found fishing, hiking, or trying out a new recipe.
